I have always been interested in makeup since I can remember, but my very conservative mother never let me wear it growing up.  Once I was a teenager, I would use the little money I had to purchase used MAC makeup just to have around.  I rarely used it, but I was amazed by the colors and variety.  I was truly a "makeup collector".

Back in 2008, during my senior year of college, I realized there were makeup tutorials and "haul" videos on YouTube by ordinary people like me.  I was instantly hooked and always wanted to make videos of my own. However I was quite intimidated so I didn't start until midway through law school, around 2011.  Making videos gave me a creative outlet and something to look forward to other than studying and studying some more.

After some time creating content on YouTube under the channel name "Brandilovesbeauty," I made this blog to expand upon those videos.  Here you will find beauty, fashion, and lifestyle posts.  I love sharing the great things in my life and documenting them to remind myself of how blessed I am.

I'm a native Texan but I currently reside in Washington, DC with my husband.  I'm a civil litigation attorney but when I have free time you can catch me watching YouTube videos, exercising, listening to the Tori Amos pandora station, or watching Veep on HBO.
